Notice For Tenants of Radi Estates – COVID19

Please read thoroughly Radi Estate’s procedures in relation to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We need to be cautious, without panic, and considered in the way we respond to the current situation with a focus on mitigating the risk and impact of Coronavirus and on maintaining the service we provide to yourself and your property.

Below we list our updated measures (as of 16th March 2020) we have taken to support the containment effort and to give you confidence that we are doing our part to ensure the safety of all in this challenging time:

–      We no longer accept cash payments at the Radi Estates office. Please bank all cash payments to any Bendigo Bank Branch. PREFERABLY, please pay via internet banking:
If you require our BSB & Account numbers, please contact the office.

There are multiple Bendigo Bank Branches across Perth. Some of the close local branches are:
Bayswater: 14 King William Street
North Perth: 431 Fitzgerald Street
Noranda: Noranda Village Shopping Centre, 14/58 Benara Road

–      Clients who have been overseas or been in contact with anyone returning from overseas, are not permitted to attend the Radi Estates office. If you need to speak to one of our team, please ring or email your requirements. If something is required to be delivered to Radi Estates, please contact our office for further instructions on 9275 2945. Face to Face meetings will be restricted to what is absolutely essential (Example: returning keys for a vacating property, or collecting keys for a new property).

–       Inspections: If you have a routine inspection scheduled, your property manager will ring you 2-3 days in advance to check the following with you:
o   If you (or any resident of the household) have recently returned from overseas
o   If you (or any resident of the household) have been in contact with anyone that has recently returned from overseas
o   If you (or any resident of the household) feel unwell

o   If you (or any resident of the household) have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating as a precaution.

o  If you (or any resident of the household) have been diagnosed with COVID-19, and is in mandatory 14 day quarantine or currently self-isolating.

If the risk factor is high, the property manager will postpone the inspection. If this occurs, you will be requested to do a video walk through of the property and send us the digital video walk through and/or photos. A sample of how to do this, will be provided as and when this is required.

We still need to be proactive in managing our rental properties (even during this difficult time), but there are digital methods that we are able use as an interim measure.

–       Viewings of vacant properties. Viewings of vacant properties will still be conducted, but limits of maximum number of people attending viewings will be set. The Leasing Agent will speak to all prospective tenants over the phone prior to confirming an appointment with you. Alternatively, you can request a ‘Facetime’ – video walk through of the property, if you cannot make the scheduled time.

–       All Radi Estates staff are required to use social distancing and not shake hands with clients. If you go to greet a staff member, our staff have been requested to simply move away and tell you that we practice social distancing.

–       Lease sign ups. Traditionally we conduct face to face lease sign ups. During this time, we will have a video of a lease sign up for tenants to watch instead and then keys will be handed over at the office.

–       Contractors. Our contractors will have the same questions asked upon any scheduled maintenance and key collection for required works. Example:
o   If the contractor has recently returned from overseas
o   If the contractor has  been in contact with anyone that has recently returned from overseas
o   If the contractor feels unwell
o   If the risk factor is high, the contractor will be told to re-schedule the maintenance or alternatively we will try and book in another contractor.

We understand that urgent maintenance will still need to occur, and we will work through this with you and the contractor, as best as we can.

Thank you again for working together with us. By doing our part, we will ensure the safety of all in this challenging time and support the containment effort. We will continue to be guided by consultation and advice from the relevant authorities and will provide further updates as required.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Kind Regards
Tamara Radi
